we met some years ago and I thank you for your efforts in promoting lipidrescue

the french society of anesthesia recommends, in its guideline published 2010, a single dose of 3mgkg intralipid 20%, without mandatory following infusion

thanks for the post and sorry for the delay in reply. I think that the recommendation is not based on any particular evidence. Our experience in the lab has always been that a large bolus is effective initially but a continuous infusion is required following that to sustain the recovery. It is possible that repeated bolus dosing is just as effective, but we have no evidence in support of that. I would also point out that the current PK evidence also suggests that a repeated dosing may be necessary given that the mechanisms underlying its benefit is more than a static lipid sink
