Can you have any information about lipid infusion in pregnancy patients during cardiac arrest secondary to local anaesthetic toxicity?

Good question, Marcos.
No information on that. I think you must let clinical judgement intervene. It might be a good study to look at outcomes of rodent or other lab animal pups after mommy gets lipid infusion. Anyone?

A note of caution for chronic lipid administration in pregnancy: K M Jasnosz, J J Pickeral, S Graner: Fat deposits in the placenta following maternal total parenteral nutrition with intravenous lipid emulsion: Arch. Pathol. Lab. Med 119: 555-557, 1995. But for acute treatment- no data. Probably an important question, Marcos, because of the increased toxicity of local anaesthetics in pregnancy, and the potential risk of topping up the epidural for emergency Caesarean.
