LipidRescue™ Resuscitation

41 y.o. male immediately post local only Vasectomy. Surgeon injected 30ml 2% Lidocaine in 2 separate locations. 4 minutes after the second injection the patient had L.O.C. changes and cardiac arrhythmias noted, classic symptoms were seen. Circulating RN's managed the patient until the hospitalist was in the operating room. Lipids were hung within 10 minutes after IV access was obtained, due to the quick recognition of the LAST event by the operating room staff. Pt was transferred from our critical access facility to higher acuity once stable and talking. Returned to baseline status prior to transfer.
